What is an IVA (Individual Voulntary Arrangement?)

An IVA is a procedure governed under The Insolvency Act (1986). An IVA is a formal agreement between yourself and your creditors. It is a legal process that enables the individual to reduce the amount of money they owe, stop any further interest charges and reduce the monthly payments they have been making. In effect an IVA reduces your debt to pay off a percentage of what you owe. Generally after 5 years (60 months), your debt is classed as settled.
An IVA is a very formal arrangement and so the IVA has to be set up by a licensed professional. Those that qualify, an IVA is the best means to sort out those worrying debt problems and shake of the shackles of debt once and for all, especially if you are a homeowner and you wish to protect your equity.

Our aim is:

  • To Eliminate any interest charges you are facing
  • To Prevent your debts from increasing
  • To Stop all the harassment you receive from your creditors
  • Stop your creditors making demands and sending you letters
  • The demands and phone calls by your creditors are dealt with www.theivacompany.co.uk and their sister companies.
  • Stop all legal actions taking place
  • Prevention of or halt any bankruptcy proceedings
  • Prevention of or to Halt any bailiffs
  • Reduce your total monthly expenditure by up to 75%
  • Acceptance by your creditors of one reduced affordable regular payment
  • And most importantly, to finally be able to restore your credit
